Mozilla Community MeetingJanuary 29, 2001By Mike Angelo -- 4 January 2001 (c)Mozilla fans and developers get ready to party. The Mozilla Organization and CollabNet have scheduled a Mozilla meeting for January 29, 2001, in New York City. Officially this Lizard-world party is titled the New York Mozilla Developer Meeting. However, CollabNet's David Boswell notes it's called a developer meeting, but it's really for anyone interested in Mozilla. Maybe it should be called a Mozilla community meeting but with a developer focus. David Boswell adds that the Mozilla community meeting will be a good place to find out more about Mozilla, to meet people you have only talked to over email, to get your questions about Mozilla answered, and to get free food. The January 29th date was selected to coincide with IDG's LinuxWorld Conference & Expo at New York City's Javits Convention Center January 30 through February 2, 2001 -- yet not conflict with LinuxWorld. The New York Mozilla Developer Meeting will be held at the CollabNet New York office, 601 West 26th Street. That's just a few blocks South of the Javits Convention Center. Seating capacity for the New York Mozilla Developer Meeting is limited. So be sure to contact meeting coordinator David Boswell, david@collab.net, soon to get on the attendee list -- or for additional information. There is no registration charge for the New York Mozilla Developer Meeting. This New York Mozilla Developer Meeting is the third of its kind. Alphanumerica sponsored the first Mozilla Developer Meeting on April 7, 2000. It was held at the Netscape facility in Mountain View, California. Alphanumerica sponsored the Second Mozilla Developer Meeting held August 18th, 2000. The second Mozilla Developer Meeting also was held at Netscape's Mountain View campus. Incidentally, CollabNet acquired Alphanumerica in August 2000. For more information about the New York Mozilla Developer Meeting, check MeetZilla. |
