OSDN Web Sites (Slashdot, NewsForge, Freshmeat, etc.) Back On Line

Mike Angelo -- 4 June 2001 (c)

(Updated 19:00 EDT - 4 June 01)

They Are Back On Line

The OSDN (Open Source Development Network) Web sites had been unreachable since late yesterday until shortly after 6:00 pm Eastern USA time today. OSDN Web sites include Freshmeat, NewsForge, OSDN, Slashdot, and SourceForge.

All these sites now are up, running, and reachable.

All the OSDN Web sites are great sites. NewsForge and Slashdot are two of the very best and most informative Web sites on the Internet. The Internet would just not be the Internet without them! It's great to see all the OSDN sites up and running again!

According to stories that were just posted on NewsForge and Slashdot shortly after 7:00 p.m, a router problem was the reason the OSDN sites went down.
