Basic Configuration Step 2
If your computer is connected to the Internet when Netscape 6 is installed, Netscape 6 goes to the Netscape Web site and downloads the Netscape home page without your ever being asked permission for it to do so. Moreover, the Netscape Web site will set cookies on your computer without ever asking to do so -- and who knows what else might happen without your knowledge.
However, because the installation is conducted off-line, the preferences can be reset first. Figure 11 shows the Edit menu dropped. To edit the preferences simply click on Preferences in that Edit menu.
